Lakers Lend a Helping Hand: 5 Days of Service

From March 20 to March 24, stop by Kirkhof for tons of different drop-in service opportunities. Come make dog toys for the Humane Society, prepare gifts for community members, learn more about local non-profits, and much more. You'll even have the chance to meet some dogs, baby chicks, and bunnies! No registration or RSVPing required.

Nurturing Nature

Start the week by nurturing nature! Interested in helping animals and environmental sustainability? Monday is focused on organizations dedicated to nature, like the Critter Barn and Blandford Nature Center. 

Enhancing Education

Tuesday’s theme is Enhancing Education. This day focuses on organizations dedicated to making sure students get the academic help they need to succeed. Check out The Gap Year Service Fair and learn more about the opportunities that are available for you. 

Feeding Friends

On Wednesdays we feed friends. If you are someone who is passionate about working towards ending hunger, be sure to drop by Kirkhof on Wednesday. Meet organizations like Feeding America and Meals on Wheels to help end food insecurity in your community. 

Cultivating Community

Thursday is Cultivating Community. Have a knack for bringing people together? Organizations like Family Futures and Disability Advocates for Kent County will be here to help bring groups together to build community. 

Pick Your Passion!

Friday, March 24 is Pick Your Passion day! Stop by on Friday to drop some kindness starting at 2:30 p.m. in Kirkhof Center Room 2266. Habitat For Humanity and the Blandford Nature Center will also be there to help wrap up the week.
