Author: Bella Gielniak
You get this newsletter in your email every week; ever wonder where it’s coming from? We are the Division of Student Affairs (DSA), a division of Grand Valley that’s here to help you get the most out of your experience at GVSU. The 10 different departments within our division make Grand Valley a welcoming place for all students by providing support for academic, environmental, social, and physical wellness.
Our mission is to place students at the center of our work, advocate for your well-being, and promote positive and inclusive programs. You've probably already interacted with at least one of our departments! Our 10 departments include:
- Alcohol and Drug Services (AOD)
- Campus Health Center
- Children's Enrichment Center
- Dean of Students Office (DSO)
- Housing and Residence Life (HRL)
- Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR)
- Office of Student Life (OSL)
- Recreation and Wellness (RecWell)
- Student Ombuds
- University Counseling Center (UCC)
Each one of these DSA departments is here to help! If you are in need of support in any of these areas, please feel free to reach out. We exist to help you get the most out of your college experience.
More information on each department will be coming soon. In the meantime, enjoy DSA-related event reminders, wellness tips, and student org spotlights from your friends at the Laker Weekly.
