Get a study buddy

When there’s no one there to hold you accountable, it can be difficult to stay focused on your school work. Before you head to the library for a long study sesh, grab a friend or classmate! You can help each other study or just work side-by-side for moral support.

Find the perfect soundtrack

Whether you like to blast classic rock or sit in silence while you work, it’s important to figure out what sounds good to you! If you find that you’re distracted by song lyrics but still like background noise, search for the instrumental version of your favorite songs. Once you find some music to keep you focused, time will fly!

Treat yourself

High-stress times are the best time to do something nice for yourself. Buy a coffee from your favorite cafe, pick up a nice face mask and do relaxing skin care, or grab your favorite sweet treat to snack on while you study. Anything that brings you joy, do it! You deserve it after working hard this semester.

Be kind to yourself

If studying has you down, you have lots of support to turn to! Talk to a friend, roommate, or parent. If you’re feeling like you’re struggling more than usual, check out resources from the University Counseling Center
