Keyword Search

If you’ve never used the search feature on LakerLink, prepare to be amazed. You can type any keyword into the search bar, and you’ll be taken to any organization or event that relates to that word. For example, if you’ve been infected with dancing fever, just type in “dance” and watch as events and student organizations pop right up.

Join an Organization

LakerLink is a great place to look for student orgs and events, but you don’t just have to window shop. If you’re logged in with your GVSU email, you can request to join an organization right on their page. Click that blue “join” button and wait to be contacted. You can also reach out to the primary contact listed on their page, DM their social media account or linked website, or try contacting their president to express your interest.

Make Your Own Organization

Grand Valley is home to over 400 student organizations, but there’s always room for more! If you can’t find an org that fits your passions, consider creating a brand-new one. On the organizations page, there’s a button that says “register an organization”. From there, you’ll find another button that will allow you to start building your new org!
