New Student Organizations Just Dropped!

If you haven’t found the student org to fit your passions, don’t worry! Seven new orgs have just been added to the collection of over 400 at Grand Valley. Get to know these brand new organizations and you might find exactly what you’re looking for.

Alzheimer's Awareness Club

This Service & Advocacy organization focuses on the neurodegenerative disease, Alzheimer’s. The Alzheimer’s Awareness Club aims to help the Alzheimer’s Association find a cure by educating their members on the disease and taking part in community service opportunities. Meet with them on the first Tuesday of each month.

International Friendships, Inc.

If you’re a student looking to make connections with other cultures and religions, look no further! International Friendships, Inc. is an Interfaith Organization where you can form meaningful friendships with international and American students. This org meets twice a month and brings staff from various local churches to promote hospitality with activities for students of all cultural and religious backgrounds. 

Unified Sports

Unified sports is open to all Grand Valley students who are interested in building a more inclusive world for people with intellectual disabilities. This Service & Advocacy org unites Special Olympians with Grand Valley students through sports. Find them on the Kelly Family Sports Center turf every Monday from 7-8 p.m!

Monarcas-Ballet Folklorico

Monarcas-Ballet Folklorico is a Performing Arts organization that aims to promote the rich culture of Mexican Ballet Folklorico at GVSU through a variety of performances. They meet every Thursday at 7 p.m. and are open to all students, so be sure to check them out.

Soil Judging Club

Soil Judging is a nationally recognized, educational activity that the Soil Judging Club aims to promote. Club members gain employable skills with hands-on engagement and land-use investigations. Dig into your knowledge on soil with the Soil Judging Club in Kindschi Hall.

Project Blue Heart

Are you someone who is passionate about making someone's day better through kindness? Project Blue Heart is a Service & Advocacy org aiming to create a more caring and supportive Laker community. Join them to commit acts of kindness and positively impact someone’s day. Stay tuned for their meeting times and location.

Women’s Fitness and Wellness Club

WFWC is a Special Interest org that is designed to incorporate positive mental health practices into weight lifting for women. Their goal is to build a community of confident women through team bonding activities like weight lifting with a certified trainer, fundraisers, learning healthy social media habits, and more! Meet WFWC in weight room B9 in the rec center
