As we gear up for the upcoming academic year, we are thrilled to see the astounding interest from returning students in securing on-campus housing. The response has been remarkable, and we appreciate their enthusiasm for campus living. However, due to the record number of applicants, we want to provide you and your student(s) with some important updates and information.

Returning Students with a Submitted Housing Application:

If your student(s) submitted their housing application, we want to keep you informed about the current status of the selection process. Due to the record number of applications, we wanted to inform you that we are no longer accepting new applications. 

The self-selection process will remain open until June 15th. Please note that spaces will become available through cancellations and room changes. These spaces will be added to a pool for your student to choose from. We encourage your student to keep an eye on the myHousing portal for changes and updates.

Past cancellation trends suggest an increase to the pool of available spaces around the end of the Fall Semester and early January, as well as during the month of April leading up to the May 1st deadline. If your student has specific housing preferences or wishes to live with a particular group of students, we recommend exploring off-campus options.

Should your student’s plans change, and they decide to live off-campus, please submit a cancellation via the myHousing portal. We genuinely appreciate the interest in on-campus living and your understanding throughout this process.

Returning Students without a Submitted Housing Application:

For students that are still developing their housing plans, we regret to inform you that the 2024-2025 housing application is currently closed.

Our Housing and Residence Life staff are closely monitoring trends, and if space becomes available, the application will reopen on Friday, June 14, 2024. We will notify the campus community via email at that time, providing your student with the opportunity to secure on-campus housing.
